St Kitts & Nevis Patriots’ chase came up short at Sabina Park as they suffered a 51-run defeat against Jamaica Kingsmen in the 10th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2026. Chasing 182, the Patriots were bowled out for 130 in 18 overs, despite a promising start with the ball.

The Patriots won the toss and opted to bowl, and Saurabh Netravalkar immediately gave them reason to feel confident. His opening over was a maiden, and he struck twice in the over to put the Kingsmen under early pressure. Jamaica found themselves struggling at 36 for 3 before beginning to rebuild.

Reeza Hendricks made 19 and Usman Khan added 13, but the Patriots continued to pick up wickets. By the eighth over, Jamaica were 64 for 5, leaving the Patriots in a strong position to restrict the total.

However, a crucial partnership between Rovman Powell and Keemo Paul shifted the momentum. Powell scored 49 from 39 balls, while Paul produced an attacking 65 off 36 deliveries. Their stand helped Jamaica recover and push the total to 181 for 6 from 20 overs.

The Patriots’ chase got off to a difficult start. Andre Fletcher was dismissed for 7, followed by Johnson Charles for 11 and Kyle Mayers for 8. At 31 for 3, the Patriots were already facing an uphill task.

Kevin Wickham provided some resistance with a composed 37 from 34 balls, while Nikhil Chaudhary scored 18 from 13. Navin Bidaisee added a brisk 19 from 16, but the Patriots could not find the sustained partnership needed to keep pace with the required run rate.
